Closed Current.

This wall sconce started as an exploration into different interactions that are possible when turning on a light. I came up with the idea to use the act of opening/closing a door as a way to complete a current. Upon shutting both doors around the center “eye” of the piece, the light turns on because the negative and positive current come into contact. The structure of the light is cherry wood, the accents are all stainless steel hand-cut and or welded, and lastly, a slumped glass piece.
